Senator Jim DeMint talks with The Today Show’s Matt Lauer about the national health care debate and President Obama’s proposed government takeover of health care. Senator DeMint says that we need to slow down and study this issue instead of passing it in two weeks without even reading the bills.

Another great job Senator, I believe I heard Matt Lauer agree with you.
We were recently talking to a doctor who is on staff at two suburban Chicago hospitals and we asked him to rate them. He answered of course off the record that while both hospitals have great reputations and offer excellent care, one has an aging demographic and is building their newer facitlities in the younger more affluent areas, in order to increase privately insured patients and move away from medicare/medicaid patients. He added the staff is demoralized by the cuts the government is imposing.
Will we create a two-tier medical system with Obama care? The federal government intervention in education has led to its decline particularly for the poor. Is the plan to do the same thing for healthcare?
All our bests and keep up your great work,

Great interview on Today. You were logical, used common sense, and confident. Lauer came as close to agreeing with you as he could. Thank you for doing what you do.

Senator DeMint, You make us so proud to be our SC Senator !!!! If healthcare is to be reformed and it will not take effect till 4 years…..I don’t understand the big rush either. No
bill should just be pushed through because the President thinks so.

Another great job. We love that we are getting more consideration from you than the vast majority of “Career Politicians”. I think one of our next moves should be to break back the Life expectancy of politicians to the extent that after two terms, there should be a required record check of his/her stands either by required role call voting or known tendencies to ignore the peoples needs presented to any constituent before they could sign a Petition of 65% of the populace of the region represented in order to allow a politician to run again ever in his life. Those like you who truly listen to their citizenry should have no problem meeting that, but to have that as a breaker may just be enough to stop the likes of Senator Lindsay Graham from attaining re-election. We definitely need a way to stop spineless power and money grabbers who care nothing about the damage they do to attain the same.
Also with incomes like the politicians receive I truly believe that a true statesman would be able to afford to set up programs of his own for his retirement years rather than put that on the people’s backs. Are any of them game to do that? That could greatly assist our economy by reducing that expense. The majority of said politicians seem incapable of running a business so how in God’s name do they expect us to continue to trust them to run our government?
Again let me thank you for your strength of conviction. Please always be aware of the risks that the Hutto types can be to you. I do not trust him as far as I can throw him. Being an older woman that is not as far as when I was 19 and threw a 27 year old man about 12 feet.
God bless and keep you safe.

The Bill as presented in any form will have a LOOP HOLE for Government Takeover, It not about Your Health nor Mine it is about Power and Control. The Money being spent could buy Medical Insurance for everyone that does not have it and we would save money since the Government would not have to pay someones Brother to over see it. Just look at the different offices that will gbe required to administer government care. Just give every one a Private Policy and Help Pay for it. and let private interprise do the work.
