Fight to Win

Facing down the forces of socialism in Great Britain during her tenure as Prime Minister, conservative icon Margaret Thatcher reminded us, “You may have to fight the battle more than once to win it.”

We have seen that lesson confirmed time and again, perhaps never more convincingly than when Scott Brown was elected to the U.S. Senate as the 41st Republican from the bluest of blue states…to a seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy, the late “lion of liberalism.”

Just when it looked like Harry Reid had bought off all the Senators he needed to pass the health care takeover, the people of Massachusetts – supported by a groundswell of support from around America – stood up for freedom and sent Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate.

Now Reid, Pelosi, and the rest of the Washington Democrats are in a tailspin…but as we saw from the President’s State of the Union address, it won’t be long before they latch on to some new scheme to expand government’s control of our economy and our lives.

We can’t rest and we must now redouble our efforts.

Will you please join me in the fight by contributing to my campaign to change Washington? Whether it’s $5 or $500 – every penny helps and will be spent in the fight to take our message of common sense job creation to the public.

Supporters of higher taxes, bailouts and government takeovers, card check and cap-and-trade energy tax aren’t taking a vacation and neither can we. With the American people firmly behind us, we must now move forward stronger than ever to stop their out-of-touch agenda.

You can be part of our freedom movement: contribute to my campaign, follow me on Facebook and Twitter to get the latest information on issues in Washington, or speak out by writing a letter to the editor of your local paper.

Senator-Elect Brown campaigned against the federal takeover of healthcare, in favor of treating terrorists like terrorists instead of petty criminals, for broad-based tax cuts to turn our economy around, and in support of fundamentally reforming Washington DC.

Facing long odds, Scott Brown didn’t give up, but fought to win.

In the coming months, we must do the same…or risk losing our country to the massive debt and failed policies of the Washington Democrats, who’ve controlled Congress for over 3 years now. If the message of cutting spending, lowering taxes, and letting people keep more of their own money can win in Massachusetts, it can win anywhere.

I pledge to you that as long as I am in the U.S. Senate I will fight to the end.

I will keep working for common sense solutions to get a runaway federal government out of the way of real job creation and instead promote economic prosperity based in solid fiscal policy…not just more spending and debt that will crush future generations.

Please join me by making your most generous contribution to my campaign today, following me on Facebook and Twitter, or writing a letter to the editor in support of our cause.

Together, we can fight and win…the American people are counting on us.
Sincerely,

Jim DeMint
