Enforcement of the laws in place and stopping border access to illegals is crucial to the economy and security of America. Thank you Arizona for your lead since the Federal Government won’t do their job adequately. I hope Jim can change that.

I hope you will hold firm against granting amnesty to those who have committed a crime by crossing our border illegally. We punish criminals in this country, not reward them. I hope you and other conservatives in our government will find a way to address the issue of the children of illegals automatically becoming American citizens. What more enticement is there for illegals to come here than that?

Illegal aliens are not immigrants, they are invaders from Mexico into the U.S. to take advantage of our welfare system for U.S. citizens. Our borders were suppose to be sealed 30 years ago by agreement with Congress. I lived in California from 1948 to 1992. During that time I saw a beautiful state go to complete degradation with the massive inflow of these invaders. Invaders who have babies in the U.S. should not be considered citizens, only if they are in the U.S. legally at the time of birth, that is legally documented by a U.S. doctor. The Federal Law on this subject is being abused for what it was intended. Employers who hire these invaders should be punish for their criminal behavior.

I took an oath to defend this country from enemies foreign and domestic. Our worst enemy right now are the Liberals who want to take down this country. Mr Demint is our best hope in congress to be able to do this. Please support him. Right now, I feel that secession from the corrupt union is our only option.

We have 11 million illegal immigrants in this country because of decades of immigration policy that failed to provide a pathway for lower skilled workers. The current system favors wealthy immigrants who either have existing familial ties or possess high level skills that US employers are willing to pay for through sponsorship.
Had this system been in place during the great immigration waves of the prior centuries, I doubt the majority of us would be here today. We forget that our own ancestors left their homelands because they were poor and hungry for opportunity. From these “humble roots” sprang the later generations that populate our great country.
I support Mr. DeMint and agree with his desires to first secure the border with fencing and make learning English a requirement. I also encourage him to support change of the current immigration system to make it easier to obtain temporary work visas as well as open up some pathways to permanent citizenship for honest, hard-working immigrants of “humble roots”.
