What does businesses buying supplies, spending over $600 in a year — and then being required to file additional IRS forms, have to do with health care, You’ve got to be kidding.

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them…Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does. I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. I don’t write the tax code, Congress does. I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does. I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
Has there every been a politician that looked in the mirror while telling all of these tall tales. HELL NO.
I have came to believe that all politicians are hypocrites.
    WHAT DO YOU THINK?

It doesn’t have anything to do with health care… the bill never really had much to do with health care. It has to do with providing a framework for the purpose of gaining control over each and every tiny aspect of our lives. Never Give up, Never Give in, Never Again!

    Dear Honorable Senator Demint,

We know your fighting hard to repeal this ObmaCare health plan. I feel it’s almost treason on the part of Congress to pass a law that they have not read. This is the reason we need term limits becuase after a Congress man or woman has been in office so long they begin to believe that we the people need to serve them with our taxes and hard work and not the other way around. It becomes so easy to spend someone elses money. When did Congress every pass a law in the last Century that gives the people more freedoms, they are always passing laws that take away our freedoms. God will judge them if not in this life in the life thereafter. No man is righteous enough to pass a moral law…….thou shallt not…….but only God is just and righteous and he will judge this situation. 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. The key words are HUMBLE and SEEK. These are words that our Congress today needs to start using more. Mr. Demint you are a fine man keep up the good work for us in South Carolina.

    Sincerely,

    Gary L. Watchorn

Senator DeMint do we even have a prayer of getting this repealed? Today they placed Smart Meters on my home. Its the first step to remove jobs from meter readers, allowing them eventual access to turn down my gas and/or my electricity. The intrusion of this government into our lives is NOT what my forefather John Adams fought for he fought to remove it.

I had to go to the phisiotherapist this morning for pain in my hip. I had to fill out a new medicare form with about 10 questions asking the amount of pain, the severity, if I had to take medication for it, the degree of mobility I had and the extent to which I might not be able to get out socially. The phoenix Pelosi/Reid/Obama is rising in our midst.

Thank you Senator DeMint and please keep up the conservative fight. As a Human Resource professional, my only hope is that the November elections help to bring some common sense back. Please don’t stop fighting to repeal Obamacare and all of the other ridiculous laws that are being proposed that will kill business.

All of these changes are unnerving. I just received an e-mail referencing tax changes set to become effective in 2011. If this information is correct, we are losing the battle.
    Obamacare
    Home Registration Certification
Tax on Medicare benefits by including them in gross income.
    Re-instatement of the Death Tax.

They would save face to abolish it before the states all nullify it. While they are at they can abolish the 14th,- 17th amendments and the war powers act. That would be a start to restoring a constitutional government. They are not the boss of us, we are the bosses them.

You are a good man, Sir. I sure hope to see more of you as we approach the 2012 Presidential election. I don’t want to take you away from your constituents in South Carolina but maybe they will agree that they can share you with us all and support you running to serve us all as President of the United States.

The only thing that should have been done is ask the states to open the borders for insurance to be sold across them. Competition has ALWAYS been the answer not government. Secession is looking better and better as long as this so-called President is in office.

I consider myself a conservative and have always voted for the person that I felt would best represent our state of SC. I have never voted straight ticket…what amazes me every day is how could any educated legislator in Washington even believe that any of this will improve our current situation…what happened to common sense? We need less educated leaders as the so called educated ones have gotten us to where we are today.

  17. July 29, 2010 at 7:41 PM

The only way to repeal this insane law, is toTake back at least one house of congress this election. Then take back the other house and the Presidency in 2012. This will require everyone possible to go out and convince as many people as you can, to vote the progressives out of office. Once you have convinced them to go vote, get them to find more people to convince. If we don’t do this, and take back at least one house of congress this election, we may not have a country left to turn around by 2012. We can no longer treat politics as if it were a spectator sport.

The facts of this “health care” plan have to be blasted over every public airwave and accross all social networks constantly. It’s the most upset I’ve ever been over any political issue I’ve been exposed to in my life. We’re going to skip socialism and go straight into Marxism. I’m not just upset, I’m scared. What can I do as an individual citizen?

I am on disability and the way these laws are coming into effect scares me to death! I’m sure Obama and his cronies in the White House have made sure to cover themselves in their ‘laws’!
When is the United States going to wake up and remove this idiot from office? if something isn’t done soon, there won’t be a United States to speak of!

Senator DeMint….You seem to be the only true conservative in Congress and I want to thank you for your continued service and fight to bring our country back. November & 2012 can’t come soon enough so that this Obamacare Bill can be repealed and a new healthcare bill that is read by everyone takes it’s place. I’m very concerned about Obama possibly giving amnesty to the millions of illegals in this country by going around Congress if he can’t get enough votes in Congress for an Amnesty Bill. How can this be done legally?…Doesn’t he have to get the approval of Congress, who represents all citizens in America, for such a monumental bill that will affect this country and every one in it? Giving amnesty to millions of illegals will change our country in a way that it will never be the same again. Taking care of all these illegal immigrants & their entire family’s medical care, education of their children, & etc. is one of the reasons that our states are going broke financially. First, we MUST secure our borders properly….and secondly, Congress needs to pass some kind of a work reform bill where illegals (if they are allowed to come here) register at the border to come into the country to work with proper papers so that the government can keep up with who is in our country legally & where they live and work. This is common sense that seems to be left at the door by Obama and the Dems. in Congress. Getting votes seems to be more important to them than doing what is good for our country. There isn’t another country in this world that doesn’t protect it’s own borders….it is beyond me why we can’t do the same thing without being nailed for wanting to do the same thing that other countries do. Keep up the good fight, Senator DeMint…American needs you now more than ever. Your State of South Carolina is behind you 100%!

  24. July 30, 2010 at 10:09 AM

I agree with Argo. Run for President in 2012. Clean house and make real changes that benefit hard working Americans that have paid their taxes. It is time to get back to what our forefathers had in mind for a free America. Through Christ we can do anything, but until we ask for his guidance, things will not change for the better. You have been blessed with our confidence in your representation of South Carolina. We need someone who is not afraid to pray for courage and to stand up for what is right! VOTE 2012 JIM DEMINT FOR PRESIDENT!

    Thank you for your service.

Dear Senator DeMint – I strongly support your efforts to repeal ObamaCare as well as your other efforts to clean up the “Den of Iniquity” that Washington has become. I also appreciate your tireless work to get other conservative candidates elected who can assist you in fighting the good fight. Thank God you are there to protect and defend our conservative values and principles from the secular socialism that seems to be sweeping our country. Here’s another idea for your consideration whose time may have come.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution
“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United
    States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives;
and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United
    States .”

Illegal immigration creates drastic ramifications on our health care, welfare, police costs incurred for the violence of gangs, & education which leaves loyal American taxpayers to pick up the cost.

Keep hearing much of the stimulus is not yet spent! Why not return it to us so that we can spend it? Thank you so much for the courage to stand for our Constitutional foundation!
